Chakram Vidyā vara ghaṭa gadā darpaṇam Padmayugmaṁ dorbhirbibhrat surachiratanum Meghavidyun nibhābham Gādhotkaṇṭhaṁ vivaśam anishaṁ puṇḍarīkākṣa lakṣmyo Rekībhūtaṁ vapuravatu vaḥ pītakaushēyakāntam. |
Salutations to the divine couple, Lord Lakshmi Narayana, who holds the discus, knowledge, excellent mace, and mirror, Whose beautiful form resembles a dark rain-laden cloud, Who has a deep, resonant voice, and whose eyes are like blooming lotus petals, May that radiant form adorned with yellow silk bestow prosperity upon you. |
शंखचक्रगदापद्मकुंभाऽ ऽदर्शाब्जपुस्तकम्। बिभ्रतं मेघचपलवर्णं लक्ष्मीहरिं भजे ॥२॥ |
Śaṁkhacakragadāpadmakumbhā darsābjapustakam Bibhrataṁ meghachapalavarṇaṁ Lakṣmīharaṁ bhaje. |
I worship Lord Hari, the bearer of the conch, discus, mace, and lotus, Whose complexion resembles a restless rain cloud, The one who grants prosperity and is accompanied by Goddess Lakshmi. |
विद्युत्प्रभाश्लिष्टघनोपमानौ शुद्धाशयेबिंबितसुप्रकाशौ। चित्ते चिदाभौ कलयामि लक्ष्मी- नारायणौ सत्त्वगुणप्रधानौ ॥३॥ |
Vidyutprabhā śliṣṭaghanopamānau Śuddhāśayebimbita suprakāśau Chitte chidābhau kalayāmi lakṣmī- Nārāyaṇau sattvaguṇapradhānau. |
I meditate upon Lord Lakshmi Narayana, Whose form shines brilliantly like lightning, Whose pure mind is reflected in His divine abode, Who embodies consciousness and bliss, And who is predominated by the quality of goodness. |
लोकोद्भवस्थेमलयेश्वराभ्यां शोकोरुदीनस्थितिनाशकाभ्याम्। नित्यं युवाभ्यां नतिरस्तु लक्ष्मी- नारायणाभ्यां जगतः पितृभ्याम् ॥४॥ |
Lokodbhavasthēmalayēśvarābhyām Śōkōrudīnasthitināśakābhyām Nityaṁ yuvābhyāṁ natirastu lakṣmī- Nārāyaṇābhyāṁ jagataḥ pitṛbhyām. |
By the grace of Lord Lakshmi Narayana, Who originated from the ocean of milk and resides on the mountain, Sorrow, poverty, and the destruction of the world come to an end, May my salutations be ever-present to them, the parents of the universe. |
सम्पत्सुखानन्दविधायकाभ्यां भक्तावनाऽनारतदीक्षिताभ्याम् । नित्यं युवाभ्यां नतिरस्तु लक्ष्मी- नारायणाभ्यां जगतः पितृभ्याम् ॥५॥ |
Sampatsukhānandavidhāyakābhyām Bhaktāvana’nāratadīkṣitābhyām Nityaṁ yuvābhyāṁ natirastu lakṣmī- Nārāyaṇābhyāṁ jagataḥ pitṛbhyām. |

दृष्ट्वोपकारे गुरुतां च पञ्च- विंशावतारान् सरसं दधत्भ्याम् । नित्यं युवाभ्यां नतिरस्तु लक्ष्मी नारायणाभ्यां जगतः पितृभ्याम् ॥६॥ |
Dr̥ṣṭvōpakārē gurutāṁ cha pancha- Vim̐śāvatārān sarasaṁ dadhatbhyām Nityaṁ yuvābhyāṁ natirastu lakṣmī- Nārāyaṇābhyāṁ jagataḥ pitṛbhyām. |

दारिद्र्यदुःखस्थितिदारकाभ्यां दयैवदूरीकृतदुर्गतिभ्याम् नित्यं युवाभ्यां नतिरस्तु लक्ष्मी- नारायणाभ्यां जगतः पितृभ्याम् ॥८॥ |
Dāridryaduḥkhasthitidārakābhyām Dayaivadūrīkritadurgatibhyām Nityaṁ yuvābhyāṁ natirastu lakṣmī- Nārāyaṇābhyāṁ jagataḥ pitṛbhyām. |
By the compassion of Lord Lakshmi Narayana, Miseries, troubles, and difficult situations are removed, May my salutations be ever-present to them, the parents of the universe. |
भक्तव्रजाघौघविदारकाभ्यां स्वीयाशयोद्धूतरजस्तमोभ्याम्। नित्यं युवाभ्यां नतिरस्तु लक्ष्मी- नारायणाभ्यां जगतः पितृभ्याम् ॥९॥ |
Bhaktavrajāghaughavidārakābhyām Svīyāśayōddhūtarajastamōbhyām Nityaṁ yuvābhyāṁ natirastu lakṣmī- Nārāyaṇābhyāṁ jagataḥ pitṛbhyām. |

इदं तु यः पठेत् स्तोत्रं लक्ष्मीनारयणाष्टकम्। ऐहिकामुष्मिकसुखं भुक्त्वा स लभतेऽमृतम् ॥१२॥ |
Idaṁ tu yaḥ paṭhēt stōtraṁ Lakṣmīnārāyaṇāṣṭakam Aihikāmuṣmikasukhaṁ bhuktva Sa labhatē’mṛtam. |
Whoever recites this hymn, the Lakshmi Narayana Ashtakam, After enjoying worldly and heavenly pleasures, Attains immortality. |
