I meditate on Vamana with two hands, Who has the form of the peak of golden mountain, who resembles a pure crystal, And who has a face like the full moon. |
पद्मासनस्थं देवेशं चन्द्रमण्डलमध्यगम्। ज्वलत्कालानलप्रख्यं तडित्कॊटिसमप्रभम् ॥२॥ |
Padmasanatham devesham Chandra mandala madhyagam Jwalath kalanala prakhyam Tadith koti samaprabham || 2 || |
The king of devas sits on a lotus pose , He is in the middle of galaxy of moons. He is similar to the killing fire, And has the light of billions of Lightning flare |
सुर्यकॊटिप्रतीकाशं चन्द्रकोटिसुशीतलम्। चन्द्रमण्डलमध्यस्थं विष्णुमव्ययमच्युतम् ॥३॥ |
Soorya koti prathikaasam Chandra koti susheethalam Chandra mandala madhyastham Vishnu mavyaya machutham || 3 || |
He is as shining as billions of suns. And is pleasantly cool as billions of moons. He is the middle of the galaxy of moons, He is Achyutha , the protecting Vishnu. |
श्रीवत्सकौस्तुभोरस्कं दिव्यरत्नविभूषितम्। पीतांबरमुदाराङ्गं वनमालाविभूषितम् ॥४॥ |
Srivathsa kousthuboraskam Divya rathna vibhooshitham Peethambaradaram devam Vana maalaa vibhooshitham || 4 || |
He wears the Kousthubha and Srivathsa gems, He is decorated by divine gems , He is the God who wears yellow silk, And is decorated with forest garlands. |
सुन्दरं पुण्डरीकाक्षं किरीटेन विराजितम्। षोडशस्त्रीयुतं संयगप्सरोगणसेवितम्॥५॥ |
Sundaram pundarikaaksham Kireetena Virajitham Shodasa sthree pariyutham Samyag apsara gana sevitham || 5 || |
He is Pretty, having a lotus like eye, Decorated by a crown, Surrounded by sixteen ladies, And is served by all the apasara maidens. |

दधिमिश्रान्नकवलं रुक्मपात्रं च दक्षिणे। करे तु चिन्तयेद्वामे पीयूषममलं सुधीः ॥८॥ |
Dadhi misranna kavalam Rukma pathram cha dakshine Kare thu chinthaye dhavaamay Peeyusham amalam sudhi || 8 || |
A handful of rice mixed with curd(Yoghurt). Placed in a golden vessel along with monetary gift, If taken in the hand and offered to the left hand , Is equivalent to offering of pure nectar to the holy man. |

अतिसुविमलगात्रं रुक्मपात्रस्थमन्नम् सुललितदधिभाण्डं पाणिना दक्षिणेन । कलशममृतपूर्णं वामहस्ते दधानं तरति सकलदुःखान् वामनं भावयेद्यः ॥१०॥ |
Athi suvimala gathram rukmapathrastamannam Sulalitha Dhadhi bhandam paninaa dakshinena Kalasam amruthapoornam Vaama hasthe dadhaanam Tharathi sakala dukhaan Vamanam Bhavadeya || 10 || |
“One who contemplates upon Vamana, Having an extremely radiant form, placed in a golden vessel, Holding a gracefully curved pot of yogurt in His right hand, Filled with the nectar of immortality in His left hand, He crosses over all sorrows. |
क्षीरमन्नमन्नदाता लभेदन्नाद एव च। पुरस्तादन्नमाप्नोति पुनरावर्तिवर्जितम् ॥११॥ |

The giver of milk, food, and nourishment, One obtains food and sustenance indeed. One attains food from the front, Without any return or repetition. |
आयुरारोग्यमैश्वर्यं लभते चान्नसंपदः। इदं स्तोत्रं पठेद्यस्तु प्रातःकाले द्विजोत्तमः ॥१२॥ |
Ayurārogyamaiśvaryam Labhate chānnasaṁpadaḥ. Idaṁ stotraṁ paṭhedyastu Prātāhkāle dvijottamaḥ. |
One attains longevity, health, and prosperity, As well as the wealth of food. One who is a distinguished twice-born, Should recite this hymn in the morning. |
अक्लेशादन्नसिध्यर्थं ज्ञानसिध्यर्थमेव च। अभ्रश्यामः शुद्धयज्ञोपवीती सत्कौपीनः पीतकृष्णाजिनश्रीः छ्त्री दण्डी पुण्डरीकायताक्षः पायाद्देवो वामनो ब्रह्मचारी ॥१३॥ |
Akleśādannasidhyartham jñānasidhyarameva cha. Abhrashyāmaḥ śuddhayajñopavītī satkaupīnaḥ pītakṛṣṇājinśrīḥ Chhatrī daṇḍī puṇḍarīkāyatākṣaḥ pāyāddevo vāmano brahmachārī. |
For the attainment of undisturbed mind and food, And for the attainment of knowledge, I wear a clean sacred thread, a pure loincloth, a yellowish-black antelope skin, I carry an umbrella, a staff, and have lotus-like eyes, May the divine Vamana, the celibate, protect me. |
अजिनदण्डकमण्डलुमेखलारुचिर पावनवामनमूर्तये। मितजगत्त्रितयाय जितारये निगमवाक्पटवे वटवे नमः॥१४॥ |

Sri bhoomi sahitham divyam Mukthaa hara vibhooshitham Nammami vamanam thwam Bhukthi mukthi vara pradam ||15| |
I bow to Lord Vamana, the divine form, Adorned with jewels and gems, The bestower of material prosperity and liberation. |
वामनो बुद्धिदाता च द्रव्यस्थो वामनः स्मृतः। वामनस्तारकोभाभ्यां वामनाय नमो नमः ॥१६॥ |
