Siddha Kunjika Stotram: Power of Devi Durga’s Sacred Prayer

शिव उवाच

शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि कुंजिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम्।
येन मन्त्रप्रभावेण चण्डीजाप: भवेत्।।1।।

Srunu devi pravakshyami Kunjika stotram uthamam,
Yena matra prabhavena chandi Japa Shubho Bhaveth.

Meaning:

Shivji said – Goddess! Listen, I will preach the best Kunjikastotra, with the effect of which chanting (recitation) of the Goddess becomes successful.

न कवचं नार्गलास्तोत्रं कीलकं न रहस्यकम्।
न सूक्तं नापि ध्यानं च न न्यासो न च वार्चनम्।।2।।

Na kavacham, Na argali stotram , kilakam , na rahasykam,
Na sooktham Napi dhyanam cha na nyaso na cha varchanam.

Meaning:

shield, door, rivet, Mystery, aphorism, Meditation, trust, even worship is not necessary.

कुंजिकापाठमात्रेण दुर्गापाठफलं लभेत्।
अति गुह्यतरं देवि देवानामपि दुर्लभम्।।3।।

Kunjika pata mathrena Durga phalam Labheth,
Athi Guhyataram devi, Devanam abhi durlabham.

Meaning:

The result of Durgapath is attained only by the recitation of Kunjika. This key is very secret and rare even for the gods.

गोपनीयं प्रयत्नेन स्वयोनिरिव पार्वति।
मारणं मोहनं वश्यं स्तम्भनोच्चाटनादिकम्।
पाठमात्रेण संसिद्ध् येत् कुंजिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम्।।4।।

Gopaneeyam prayathnena swayoniriva Parvathi,
Maranam, Mohanam Vasyam Sthambho ucchadanadhikam.
Pata Mathrena sam sidhayeth Kunjika stotram uthamam.

Meaning:

Hey Parvati! It should be kept secret with effort like self-confidence. This excellent Kunjikastotra proves the formal objectives of killing, mohan, vashikaran, stambhan and exaltation etc. only through recitation.

अथ मंत्र :-

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे। ॐ ग्लौ हुं क्लीं जूं स:
ज्वालय ज्वालय ज्वल ज्वल प्रज्वल प्रज्वल
ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे ज्वल हं सं लं क्षं फट् स्वाहा।”

Om Aim, kleem Chamanudayai viche . Om Gloum hoom kleem joom sa,
Jwalaya jwalaya , Jwala, Jwala , prajwala , prajwala ,
Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai viche Jwala, ham sam lam ksham phat swaha.

Meaning:

It is neither possible, nor necessary nor desirable to know the meaning of the seeds mentioned in the above mantra. Chanting alone is sufficient.

नमस्ते रुद्ररूपिण्यै नमस्ते मधुमर्दिनि।
नम: कैटभहारिण्यै नमस्ते महिषार्दिन।।1।।

Namasthe Rudra Roopinyai , Namsthe Madhu Mardini,
Nama Kaidabha Harinyai , Namasthe Mahishardhini

Meaning:

Hey Rudraswarupini! hello to you! O Madhu, the slayer of demons! hello to you Greetings to Katabvinashini! Goddess who killed Mahishasura! hello to you

नमस्ते शुम्भहन्त्र्यै च निशुम्भासुरघातिन।।2।।
जाग्रतं हि महादेवि जपं सिद्धं कुरुष्व मे।

Namasthe Shumbha hanthryai cha Nishumbhasura Gathini ,
Jagratham hi Maha devi , japam Sidham kurushwa may.

Meaning:

The one who destroys Shumbha and kills Nishumbha! hello to you Hey Mahadevi! Awaken and prove my chanting.

ऐंकारी सृष्टिरूपायै ह्रींकारी प्रतिपालिका।।3।।
क्लींकारी कामरूपिण्यै बीजरूपे नमोऽस्तु ते।

Aimkari srushti roopayai hreem kari prathi palika,
Kleemkari Kama Roopinyai , bheeja roope namosthuthe,

Meaning:

You are the destroyer of fierceness as Chamunda and the giver of blessings as “Yaikara”. In the form of “Vichche” you always give safety. (Thus “Em Hrim Klim Chamundayai Vichche”) You are the form of this mantra.

चामुण्डा चण्डघाती च यैकारी वरदायिनी।।4।।
विच्चे चाभयदा नित्यं नमस्ते मंत्ररूपिण।।5।।

Chamunda chanda gathi cha yaikari Varadhayini,
Viche cha abhayadha nithyam namasthe Manthra roopini.

Meaning:

धां धीं धू धूर्जटे: पत्नी वां वीं वूं वागधीश्वरी।
क्रां क्रीं क्रूं कालिका देविशां शीं शूं मे शुभं कुरु।।6।।

Dham, Dheem, Dhoom Dhoorjate Pathni, Vaam veem Voom Vagadheeswari,
Kraam kreem kroom Kalka Devi, Saam seem soom may Shubham kuru.

Meaning:

Dhurjati (Shiva) as ‘Dhan Dhin Dhun’ – that you are the wife. As ‘Wan Win Woon’ you are the master of speech. May Kalika Devi as ‘Kran Krin Krun’, bless me as ‘Shan Shin Shun’.

हुं हु हुंकाररूपिण्यै जं जं जं जम्भनादिनी।
भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रूं भैरवी भद्रे भवान्यै ते नमो नमः।।7।।

Hoom , hoom, hoomkara roopinyai, Jam, jam, jam jambha nadhini,
Breem, breem broom bhairavi , Bhadre bhavanyai they namo nama.

Meaning:

In the form of ‘Hum Hum Hunkar’, ‘Jam Jam Jam’ Jambhanadini, ‘Bhram Bhrim Bhrun’, O Bhairavi Bhavani, the bestower of welfare! Greetings to you again and again.

अं कं चं टं तं पं यं शं वीं दुं ऐं वीं हं क्षं
धिजाग्रं धिजाग्रं त्रोटय त्रोटय दीप्तं कुरु कुरु स्वाहा।।

Aam , kam, tam , pam , yam, sam , veem, dhoom , iym , veem ham, ksham , dhijagram,
Dhijagram throtaya , Throtaya deeptham kuru kuru swaha,

Meaning:

‘Am Kam Chan Tam Tam Pan Yam Sham Vim Dum Vim Hum Ksham Dhijagram Dhijagram’ Break all these and illuminate them, do Svaha.

पां पीं पूं पार्वती पूर्णा खां खीं खूं खेचरी तथा।। 8।।
सां सीं सूं सप्तशती देव्या मंत्रसिद्धिंकुरुष्व मे।।

Paam, peem, pum Parvathi , poorna, khaam , kheem, khoom, Khechari Thadha,
Saam, seem, soom, sapthasathi devyaa manthra sidham kurushwa may.

Meaning:

You are Parvati Purna in the form of Paan Pee Poon. In the form of ‘Khan Kheen Khun’ you are Khechari (Akashcharini) or Khechari Mudra. Prove to me the mantra of ‘San Si Sun’ Swaroopini Saptshati Devi.

इदंतु कुंजिकास्तोत्रं मंत्रजागर्तिहेतवे।
अभक्ते नैव दातव्यं गोपितं रक्ष पार्वति।।
यस्तु कुंजिकया देविहीनां सप्तशतीं पठेत्।
न तस्य जायते सिद्धिररण्ये रोदनं यथा।।

Idham thu Kunjika stotram manthra jagarthi hethave,
Abhakthe naïva dhatavyam , gopitham raksha Parvathi.
Yasthu kunjikaya devi heenaam Sapthasathim padeth,
Na thasya jayathe sidhir aranye , rodhanam yadhaa.

। इतिश्रीरुद्रयामले गौरीतंत्रे शिवपार्वती संवादे कुंजिकास्तोत्रं संपूर्णम् ।

thi Sri Rudra Yamale Gowri Thanthre Shiva Parvathi samvadhe, Sri Kunjika stotram sampoornam

Meaning:

It should not be given to a godless man. Hey Parvati! keep it a secret O Goddess! One who recites Saptashati without Kunjika does not get success in the same way as crying in the forest is futile.

Benefits of Siddha Kunjika Stotram:
