Protect, protect, O Mother, submerged in the ocean of desires, In the treacherous waters of ill repute, in the difficult shoreless sea of troubles.
भक्तिविस्मृतिबीजे च विपत्सोपानदुस्तरे ।
अतीव निर्मलज्ञानचक्षुःप्रच्छन्नकारणे ॥२॥
Bhaktivismritibeeje Cha Vipatsoopaanadustare |
Atiiva Nirmalajnaanachakshuhprachchhannakaarane ||2||
In the staircase of calamity, born from neglect of devotion, With obscured vision of excessive pure knowledge. |
जन्मोर्मिसङ्गसहिते योषिन्नक्रौघसङ्कुले ।
रतिस्रोतसमायुक्ते गंभीरे घोर एव च ॥३॥
Janmormisangasahite Yoshinnakraughasankule |
Ratisrotasamayukte Gambheere Ghora Eva Cha ||3||
In the dense forest of birth, together with the stings of sensuous pleasures, Entwined with the stream of attachments, in the profound and dreadful darkness.
प्रथमामृतरूपे च परिणामविषालये ।
यमालय प्रवेशाय मुक्तिद्वारादिविस्मृतौ ॥४॥
Prathamamritaroopre Cha Parinaamavishaalaye |
Yamaalaya Praveshaya Muktidaaraadivismrutau ||4||

बुद्ध्या तरण्या विज्ञानैः उद्धरास्मानतः स्वयं ।

Svayam Cha Tvam Karnadhaara Praseeda Madhusoodana ||5||

मद्विधा कतिचिन्नाथ नियोज्या भवकर्मणि ।

Madvidhaa Katicchinnaatha Niyojyaa Bhavakarmani |
Santi Vishwesha Vidhayo Hi Vishweshvara Maadhava ||6||

Na Karmakshetramevedam Brahmaloko’yam Ipsitah |
Tathaapi Cha Spruhaa Kaame Twadbhaktivyavadhaayake ||7||
